  • added: 04-01-2026

How to pack chips for takeaway?

Thin, long, perfectly deep-fried. Deliciously crispy, sprinkled with salt and dipped in mayonnaise or ketchup. That's right, we're talking about chips – a delicacy that is probably the only one in the world that has only fans. Chips are so beloved that they have their own special day on the calendar. That day is 13 July.

The true history of chips

History tells us that French fries originated in Belgium and that the inhabitants of that country were the first to discover this heavenly taste. To this day, it is unknown when the first batch of French fries was fried. What is known, however, is that in 1857, for the first time in the history of gastronomy, a bar serving French fries appeared.

French fries owe their international career to British soldiers who discovered this wonderful delicacy during World War I. French fries reached the United States with veterans after World War I.

French fries can be eaten in many ways. They are most often eaten with the hands, without the use of a knife and fork, salted, with ketchup or other types of sauce. They are also served in takeaway packaging.

How to pack chips for takeaway in the best possible way?

French fries can be packed in virtually any container or takeaway packaging. However, economic and practical aspects should be taken into account. The price of the packaging should not significantly increase the price of our delicacy.

So what to choose?

Paper boxes

One of the most popular types of packaging for serving takeaway chips in catering establishments are paper boxes. Boxes with the catchy name Kartonik are also perfect for festivals and outdoor events, where there is no shortage of lovers of all kinds of chips. Kartoniki boxes are sufficiently resistant to crushing and protect against grease leakage and high temperatures.

Pakowanko, a wholesaler of takeaway containers and packaging, offers Kartoniki boxes in the following sizes

Thanks to the three available sizes, we can match each box to the appropriate portion and shape of the chips offered to our guests.

Pakowanko offers two types of napkins:
